It’s almost Christmas Day and that means we’ll all get to see The Spirit and see whether or not Frank Miller has succeeded in bringing Will Eisner’s class character to cinematic life.

Judging from this preview, the violence in Punisher: War Zone will be over the top - as it should be. That’s the one thing I enjoyed about the Garth Ennis take on the character. He was over-the-top violent and it greatly set him apart from the other, vigilante style heroes.

It’s getting close to the release date for The Spirit. We should see some early reviews soon. I’m hopeful and I think the trailer looks good.

Lionsgate has an interactive comic online that builds on the background of the Punisher: War Zone movie. It’s a pretty cool site featuring text, video and images that get you caught up on the Punisher’s history, just in time for the new movie.
