allaboutduncan is really Phillip Duncan and he's been reading comic books as long as he can remember (with memories of Marvel's Godzilla and Shogun Warriors being the first). A web developer by profession, he decided to act upon a long gestating idea and create the site you're reading now. Teaming up with his friend (who happened to have the perfect domain name) they revised the former Superheroes-R-Us site into what it is now.Join Our Facebook Comments

Artist Mike Kelly Creates Multiple Kandors
I just ran across an interesting art book by artist Mike Kelly featuring multiple renditions of Kandor, the bottled city featured in Superman. Kandor is the former capital of the doomed planet of Krypton—and the largest surviving relic from Superman’s destroyed homeworld of Krypton. Captured and miniaturized by an Brainiac, it was restored to full size in a 2009-2010 story arc.
Over the years, different artists have depicted Kandor with many different visual styles. Artist Mike Kelly has done the same thing over the past decade, using various media, he’s created different versions of the Bottle City of Kandor. All of these are now available in the book: Mike Kelley: Kandors. You can see a preview of the images at the NYTimes website.
