Young Justice League Animated Series
Voice actress Stephanie Lemelin dropped a bomb on her blog when she revealed (on January 27) that a Young Justice League animated series is in the works. She even posted an image of Arrowette – the character she is voicing.
She posts:
WOW. Ok… I am beyond thrilled to announce that I was recently cast in the new animated series, YOUNG JUSTICE LEAGUE, based on the famous (and awesome!?) DC Comics. I seriously could not be more excited about being welcomed into this amazing family… what a fantastic way to start the new year! I will be voicing the character of Arrowette… (read more on here site).
Well, this is great news. I’m not ready for another Justice League series. The Dini-Timm series was so perfect – it doesn’t need revisiting just yet. However, doing a Young Justice series and calling it Young Justice League is very, very smart.
DC’s Teen Titans animated series was super popular with kids and cancelled while still very popular, due to the poor performance of merchandising. Taking the young heroes of Young Justice (Robin, Superboy, Wonder Girl, Arrowette, and Impulse-Kid Flash) and merchandising them with the Justice League brand would be a smart move.
We’ll be looking for more information on this and post anything we find.

Interesting. I wonder if she’ll be playing a renamed Speedy (Mia) or the actual Arrowette from the Young Justice series. Still, I can’t wait to see more character designs.
