Secret Avengers Member 2
Marvel has released the second mystery teaser for Ed Brubaker and Mike Deodato’s Secret Avengers, to be released in May 2010. I’m no closer to figuring these out now with this second image than I was with the first.
They’re very generic outlines, although this one does have a sinister look to it. Perhaps this will be the title that replaces Dark Avengers. Maybe the Secret Avengers are villains that want to reform.
There are very few Avengers members who wear capes. The most recent one is the Sentry, and I hope, hope, hope it’s not him. Although after what he recently did to Ares, the “I strive for redemption” quite sure would fit.
Who knows, besides Marvel? We’ll find out soon enough.

I doubt the Secret Avengers are villains. News of the new direction for Thunderbolts has been released, and that would seem to the villains seeking redemption.
Could Dr. Strange be seeking some sort of redemption? What about Taskmaster? The Hood? I’m not up to date with everyone’s status quo (plus who knows what will be once Siege is over).
How crazy would it be if that were somehow Scarlet Witch ?
I never considered the Scarlet Witch! I just assumed the silhouette was masculine.
I saw the suggestion of Moon Knight over on the CGS forum. I think that’s a good possibility.
I saw the 3rd teaser of the caped woman and many say its going to be Ms. Marvel with a new identity, Sentress or something along those lines. Just stupid stuff.
Well considering Marvel’s in Disney hands now it wasn’t as if they would get better overnight. They suck even more enough dumbing down even the “awful” stories in Dark Reign to be family friendly to reach that potential cross-over ‘tween/little kid audience that Disney brings. Its ridiculous!
