TV’s Superman Gets a New Look on Smallville

Tom Welling wearing a version of a Superman costume was rumored a month ago at San Diego Comic Con and glimpses were seen in the preview footage.

The first image of the actual costume has been released and it looks…Matrix-y. Very Neo looking – and it also harkens to Superman’s resurrection suit in the late 90’s. Not a fan of the spray painted logo – but we’ll see how that relates story wise – if it does.

  1. In a way it looks pretty Kryptonian to me. Reminds me of how the Science Council all wore black robes in the movies and of the trenchcoated look the 3 Phantom Zoners had during Geoff Johns’ Action Comics arc.

  2. Great point Devon. I didn’t even realize that, but it’s right on the money.

  3. About freakin’ time! I grew tired of “the blue blur”. As grandma used to say, “either s*** or get off the pot!” Let’s have a costume, or let’s cancel the show — pick one!
