Smallville’s Society is Cast

Several websites are reporting various actors and actresses as being cast in the January episode of Smallville entitled “Society”. The episode, written by DC Comics scribe Geoff Johns. It’s a perfect fit, considering Johns’ history with the Justice Society of America—referenced in the title of the episode.

I, for one, am interested in seeing how this generational super team will be integrated into the Smallville universe. No official list of characters has been announced, but the casting breakdown so far is:

Michael Shanks (Stargate) is Hawkman

Brent Stait (Stargate, Andromeda 5) is Dr. Fate

Britt Irvin (Hot Rod, ABC’s upcoming V remake) is Stargirl

I can’t wait to see costumed photos for the episode, which given the January air date has to be filming. hopefully we’ll see a few more JSA members make it to Smallville before the end of the episode.
