Marvel Teases Dark X-Men

And I don’t really care anymore…

DarkXmen It’s actually a cool idea, but with every title and character in Marvel’s stable getting a “dark” counterpart or a Dark title, it’s just too much.

Dark Avengers would have been cool—if it had not already been done in Thunderbolts.

Having said that, the cast/mystery of the Dark X-Men image is more intriguing, because I don’t know who they all are.

Wolverine is obviously Daken (Wolverine’s son).

Angel is probably Mimic (hence the big M on his costume).

Namor (Marvel’s first mutant).

The guy with the Omega symbol could be Weapon Omega from Alpha Flight. He’s got an X-Men connection and the outfit looks similar.

The remaining one have me stumped. Any ideas?

Dagger, I don’t think is the real Dagger. With a series coming from blogger Valerie D’Orazio, it seems she would be “off the table.”

Cloak – doesn’t really look like Cloak and he never has his hood down.

Black Queen – They want you to think Emma Frost, but they’ve established her as a hero lately. I’d hate to see them reverse that.

The last thing not revealed by Marvel, is where these “heroes” will appear. No title was given. My guess is the X-Men/Avengers crossover.

  1. It looks like cloak and dagger in the back.

  2. It looks like it could be Exodus behind “Dagger” or “Dagger” could be Dazzler but enhanced or something. And could the “Black Queen”/Emma Frost character maybe be the “Emma Frost” look alike that Kitty left under ground when Cassandra Nova tried to come back?
