Frank Cho Reveals Ultimate Comics Avengers
Over on his blog (ApesandBabes), creator Frank Cho has slowly been revealing the line-up for the next incarnation of the Ultimates (Ultimate Avengers). Cho’s sketches reveal hints as to just what characters may survive the Ultimatum storyline and appear in the re-launch when the line is renamed Ultimate Comics.
As you can see, the first arc looks like it will involve Asgard, Trolls, and mythology of some kind. The sketches confirm Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, along with Valkyrie and Zarda (Power Princess from Supreme Power).
The image featuring Cap, Valkyrie and Zarda actually gives us the most info. That trio (specifically Zarda) confirms that the Ultimate line will not be rebooted, but rather it—and it’s characters—will continue into the Ultimate Comics line.
Personally, I can’t wait to see Cho artwork in a book again. He’s simply one of the best in the field right now.
