Stephen King’s The Stand: Captain Trips Preview
Marvel has released several preview pages (as well as a trailer and digital sketchbook) to promote their newest comic collaboration with horror author Stephen King.
World Fantasy Award-winning writer Stephen King, and Marvel Comics join forces once again to launch a new ground-breaking comic book series adapted from King’s apocalyptical novel, The Stand! Acclaimed writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Secret Invasion: Fantastic Four, Angel Revelations) brings the first of several limited series to life this September in The Stand: Captain Trips #1 (of 5)! The Stand, which is commonly deemed as King’s most popular novel, is a story of Biblical proportions; after a government-made virus mows down majority of the human race, the few survivors must band together in order to survive. With visually stunning interiors from Eisner-nominated artist, Mike Perkins (Captain America, House of M: Avengers), the human race is going make their last stand! Plus, a mind blowing, sketch variant from acclaimed artist Lee Bermejo and the first of five connecting variant covers from Perkins!
To celebrate the release, The Stand: Captain Trips #1 (of 5) goes on sale at 12:01 am, September 10th, at participating comic stores around the nation.
